Angela Evelyn Bassett has been an American actress since late 1980s. In the film and television industry, she's known for her many awards and nominations. Bassett was raised at Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by her aunt in New York New York. Bassett was able to move with her younger twin sister in St. Petersburg Florida at five years old in order to be closer to their mother and father, who had separated from her father. When she was in high school Bassett watched John Steinbeck's drama Of Mice and Men starring James Earl Jones and decided she would like to be an actor. Yale University New Haven Connecticut awarded her a bachelor's degree (1980), in African American study, and an honorary doctorate (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. At Yale she came across Courtney B. Vance a actress who was a friend of hers. They got married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. The Yale School of Drama granted an M.A. in Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Bassett back in the year. She was a student at the institutions that she attended: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for seventh graders, Azalea Middle School for the 8th and 9th grade and Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her main characters, Ramonda, in the action-adventure film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
